Debut thriller
The Van Gogh Prophecy
A priest who cannot pray uncovers a lost gospel in van Gogh’s paintings and mistakes his own grief for a summons.
The Story
Some revelations are meant to remain unwitnessed
Father Aidan Llewellyn has lost more than faith should permit: his vocation, teaching position, the woman he loved, and the last reliable border between revelation and delusion. After a decade cutting stone and refusing to speak to God, he travels to Amsterdam to make his academic return, expecting little more than skepticism and the theater of his former world.
Instead he demonstrates a pattern in Vincent van Gogh’s letters and paintings that is hard to ignore. Buried within the artist’s color, composition, and biblical imagery is a radical Christian theology no critic has ever fully explained. Following the pattern, Aidan searches for lost artifacts scattered across Europe—each discovery revealing another fragment of a suppressed gospel tied to the long-lost Q source that defined his former scholarship. Before his fall, Aidan taught a vision of Christ radical enough to threaten the religious, economic, and political order built around Him.
But Aidan is not the first to glimpse this truth. For generations, a quiet network devoted to preserving global stability has ensured that some revelations remain unwitnessed.
As his quest propels him through museums, archives, private collections, and the guarded machinery of the Vatican, Aidan finds himself treading the same dangerous path as Vincent, where the line between interpreting revelation and becoming its messenger disappears.
